Smoky Mountain Center works in partnership with a Community of Providers to ensure that a full range of services and
supports are available close to home to individuals in need of mental health, developmental disability and substance
abuse services and supports.
Smoky Mountain Center staff can offer:
- Immediate emergency services at The Balsam Center for Hope and Recovery –
24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
- Community based mental health and substance abuse assessments and education.
- Initial screening and connection with treatment services.
- Psychiatric evaluation and medication management.
- Linkage with peer support and respite.
Through our Community of Providers you and your family may receive:
- Evaluation and assessment of emotional, behavioral or developmental problems.
- A range of community-based treatment services for children and adults experiencing emotional, behavioral or developmental problems.
- Substance abuse education and treatment.
- Recovery-based education and Wellness Recovery Action Planning (WRAP).
- Psychiatric evaluation and medication management.
- Special programs for court involved youth and adults.
- Community-based individual and family support.
- Rehabilitation, life skills and vocational training.
- Residential or group home services.
- Inpatient hospitalization.
